Hi everyone! We’re so happy you’re here!

Our story began with a first date at the zoo! It was a day full of awkward excitement, lots of laughter, and something special that we both recognized right away. It didn’t take long to realize we had found our forever.

Early on, (whether she’ll admit it or not) Sami accidentally blurted out “I love you” at the DEQ, we both froze and then pretended it never happened… until two months later, on a snowy cabin getaway to Mount Hood, we were cooking dinner and dancing in the kitchen and simply couldn’t hold it in any longer. Saying “I love you” felt as natural as breathing.

For our three year anniversary which we were celebrating in Bend, OR, we each secretly planned to propose, completely unaware that the other was planning to do the exact same thing. Jona proposed one evening at a photo shoot at Smith Rock, and the very next morning Sami proposed on a hike to Tumalo Falls.

Over the past four years, we’ve built a life together that feels like home. Whether we’re exploring new places and trying new things, spending cozy weekends with our Pepper girl, or just doing everyday life together, we feel incredibly lucky to have found not only love, but a best friend in each other.

As we look ahead to our future, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for each other, for this love we get to share, and for the beautiful family and friends who surround us. Getting to spend forever together feels like the greatest gift we could ever imagine. And knowing that we are surrounded by a village of people who not only love and accept us, but celebrate us and our love, is such a beautiful blessing.
